The Mindset Shift: Reprogramming Your Inner Narrative

Mindset & Reprogramming

Last week, in our mini episode, we planted the seeds of transformation with a sneak peek into reprogramming your mindset. But in this episode, too, of Phoenix Phreedom, we're going even deeper. Your inner narrative. The stories you tell yourself holds the key to your growth or keep you stuck. What if you could rewrite those stories? What if the doubt, fears, and "I'm not good enough" moments could be replaced with confidence, courage, and clarity?

It's time to take control. Let's rise together. Episode two is here. Ready to reshape your perspective and inspire action. Welcome back to Phoenix Phreedom, the podcast where transformation meets rhythm. I'm your host, Kera Myles, and today we're diving into one of the most powerful tools for growth and change.

Reprogramming your inner narrative. Have you ever caught yourself thinking "I'm not good enough" or "I'll never get to where I want to be"? These aren't facts. They're stories you've been telling yourself. The good news is you have the power to rewrite them. In this episode, we will explore why mindset matters, how to identify and challenge limiting beliefs, and practical steps to reprogram your inner narrative for success.

Let's get it, Phoenix risers. Your mindset is the foundation of your life. It shapes your perceptions, emotions, and actions. Imagine walking into a room wearing sunglasses with blue tinted lenses. Everything you see will have a blue hue, whether it's truly blue or not. That's how your mindset works.

It colors how you view the world. Here's why mindset matters. Beliefs drives behavior. If you believe you're not good at something, you will avoid it and that reinforces the belief. Your narrative shapes your reality. If you keep telling yourself "I'm stuck," that's exactly what you will feel.

Let me share a personal story. Early in my career, I told myself I'm not a natural leader. Every time I faced a challenge, I would step back assuming others were better equipped. It wasn't until I started questioning that belief, asking "What if this isn't true?" Then I began taking ownership and building leadership skills. Today, I've not only led teams, but I've also coached others to step into leadership roles. Take a moment to think about a belief you've held about yourself that might not be true.

Where did that belief come from? How has it shaped your actions or inactions? Next, we will explore how to identify and challenge those limiting beliefs holding you back. But first, a quick message from our sponsor. This episode is also brought to you by Phoenix Phreedom Empowering Journals, the perfect tool to help you unlock your potential and rewrite your story. Let's talk about limiting beliefs. These are the invisible scripts running in the background of our minds. Often installed early in our life by our environment, experiences, or even things we've overheard. I've had clients come to me and the most common limiting beliefs that I have heard was, "I'm not smart enough.

I do not have enough experience. People like me don't succeed." To identify your limiting beliefs, ask yourself, "What's holding me back from my goals? What stories do I tell myself when I'm scared or uncertain?" For example, if you avoid speaking up around people you know or even don't know or even in meetings because you believe, "I don't have anything valuable to add." That is a limiting belief. It is not a fact. It's a story. I worked with a client who believed they were bad with money.

This belief came from growing up in a household where financial struggles were common. Every time they tried to budget or save they felt overwhelmed and gave up reinforcing that narrative. Through coaching, we replaced "I'm bad with money" with "I'm learning to manage my finances step by step." That shift unlocked their confidence and transformed their approach. We'll leave you with actionable steps to reprogram your mindset for lasting change right after this. "Yo, just waking up in the morning in the B-well. Quite honest with you I ain't really sleep well.

You ever feel like your train of thought's been derailed? That's when you press on leanness. Half the population just waiting to see me fail. Yeah right you better off trying to freeze hell. Some others do it for the females and others do it for the retail. When I do it for the kids life through the tower in on.

Every time you fall it's only making you chin strong. And I'll be in your corner like Nick baby till the end of when you hit the strong from that big lady. Until the referee rings the bell. Until both your eyes start to swell. Until the crowd goes home. What we gonna do y'all?

"There goes a fighter. There goes a fighter. Here comes a fighter. That's what they say to me. Say to me. Say to me.

Best friends of fighters." "And if I could last 30 rounds there's no reason you should never have your head down. Six foot five. 220 pounds. Hailing for rock bottom Loserville. Nothing town. Sex book version of a kid going nowhere fast.

And now I'm yelling kiss my. It's gonna take a couple right hooks. A few left jacks. For you to recognize you really ain't got it back. Until the referee rings the bell. Until both your eyes start to swell.

Until the crowd goes home. What we gonna do y'all? "Give 'em hell. Give 'em hell. "Give 'em hell. Give 'em hell.

You're gonna live life 'til we're dead. "Give 'em hell. Give 'em hell. Give 'em hell. Give 'em hell. You're gonna live life 'til we're dead.

"Give me scars. Give me pain. Give me pain. When they say to me. Say to me. Say to me.

There goes a fighter." Reprogramming your inner narrative involves three key steps. Number one. Challenge your belief. Ask yourself. Is this belief true? What evidence do I have that contradicts this belief?

Number two. Rewrite your narrative. Replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones. The opposite of the limiting thought. For instance, instead of "I am not creative. Try." "I am creative.

Discovering new ways to express my creativity." And number three. Take aligned action. Action reinforces belief. If your new narrative is "I'm capable of growth." Prove it by learning something new or tackling a small challenge. A team I coached struggled with collaboration because they believed conflict ruins relationships. By reprogramming that narrative to conflict when handled with respect leads to growth, they embraced honest conversation and saw a dramatic improvement in trust and teamwork.

This week, reflect on another belief that's been holding you back. Say it out loud. Write it down. Challenge it and create a new empowering narrative. Then take one small step to align your actions with that new belief. Your mindset is the most powerful tool for transformation.

By reprogramming your inner narrative, you can unlock potential you never knew you had. It's not about perfection. It's about progress.
